The Table

Long ago when we were married (LOL like 4 1/2 years is long) My new husband and I found ourselves furniture less. Luckily for us we know some wonderful people who had some pieces of old or unused furniture that they were willing to give us.(To this day we've only purchased 5 pieces of furniture everything else was given to us or inherited)
Our lovely kitchen table was donated from my Aunt Kristen and Uncle Ethan. Their family had out grown their old one and had purchased a new one. (One of the chairs has my cousin Elle's name scratched into it).
Though it is mostly used for decoration, I love this table. (There are only two of us, we mostly eat in the living room). Thanks to Tai Pan Trading company (and shopping with Amber)I decorated it up quite nice and I love the compliments I receive. Someone once tried to eat the cookies in the jar. (You'd think the plastic smell that hits you as you take off the lid would make you stop and wonder if its safe to eat.)
Anyway, on with the story (About my kitchen table!) I was working one morning making price changes on table linens and came across this table cloth. It was being marked down WAY lower then you'd think (we're remodeling the story so we're getting rid of ALOT!) I had to buy this table cloth. But wait it wouldn't match what I already had on the table, and Joey would Freak if I re-did the whole thing. Plus there is no Tai Pan for miles.
Despite all the complications I purchased the table cloth and set out on finding a way to make it work with the rest of the decor. 7 dollars later I had a new kitchen table set up. I love it!
This is what it looked like before (you should recognize it from the pictures I took when I first moved in to the apartment, and the pictures I took of my Maryland home, same set up)

New Table Decorations (Isn't my life exciting! LOL no really I'm just really excited about it that's all)

You are too funny, but it does look very cute. The simplest things can change a look of a room completely and you don't have to spen a lot. I always rearrange...that makes me feel like it's new. =)
