Continuing our ride
Yes! Oh, AHA! Biking, joey and I are now bikers, little less leather jacket a little more training wheels, but you get the picture. Instead of riding around old battle fields, this time we rode down the C&O canal(Chesapeake and Ohio canal)along the Potomac river. It was heaven. Paved, flat, shady and beautiful! No random cannons, no corn fields, just lots and lots of trees, and water. If you'd like the history I have a pamphlet for you, I'm just not that patient or interested in writing it all down, so let me know if you want to know. The same group went with us this time as last time. Because I'm not that strong of a rider yet, I found my stride and stayed with it. singing and dancing along as best I could on a bike. (note: never go long distance bike riding with out your Ipod, or equivalent to an Ipod)Again the boys liked going fast and so did Brooke, I feel bad that I may have slowed them down, but I was having fun, being a dork and singing to myself. We rode for 25 miles, it took us a little over two hours. Sense the ride was so smooth and completely free of big hills(except for one we took on accident because we got lost for a little bit, but we found our way back to the trail not to worry), we didn't have to stop all that often, so we didn't take any pictures. But I have a feeling we'll be going back, so we'll get plenty of pictures then. Another weekend well spent, if anyone wants to join us next time let me know.
